Renewal reminders

For subscription paywalls (monthly, 3-month, yearly), the bot sends subscribers a renewal reminder 3 days before their access expires. The reminder includes a payment link so the subscriber can start a new checkout immediately.

How renewal works

When a subscriber pays to renew, their access is extended from the end of their current period — not from the date they paid. This means there is no gap in access, even if they renew early.

After renewing, the subscriber receives a confirmation message with their new expiry date.

Grace period

If a subscriber started a payment checkout but did not finish it before their access expired, the bot waits up to 24 hours before removing them. This gives them time to complete the payment.

What happens at expiry

When a subscription expires and the subscriber has not renewed (and there is no active checkout in the grace period):

1. 1The bot removes the subscriber from the channel or group.
2. 2The subscriber receives a message with your subscribe link so they can resubscribe at any time.

Re-subscribing after expiry

Former subscribers can tap the subscribe link at any time to resubscribe. If they already used their free trial on this paywall, they will only see the pay option (no second trial).
