Managing Your Paywall

Everything you can do after your paywall is live.

/paywalls

Type /paywalls to see all your paywall channels. Each entry shows a status icon (🟢 Active or ⏸ Paused), the channel or group name, and a summary — either its single plan and price, or, if it has several pricing tiers, how many plans it offers and the total active member count. Tap Manage on an entry to open its full detail view.

⏸ Pause / ▶️ Resume

Pausing the whole channel stops accepting new subscribers on any of its tiers — the subscribe link shows "subscriptions are temporarily paused." Existing subscribers keep their access and are not affected. Resume re-enables it. If the channel has only one tier, this button also appears alongside that tier directly.

🔗 Copy Link

The bot sends you the subscribe link as a new message. Use this if you lose the original link.

📊 Payments

Opens the payments view for this channel: revenue stats and a list of recent payments. See Payments & Receipts for details.

📝 Add/Edit description

Set or change a short (up to 200 characters) description shown to subscribers before they join, right under the channel name. Tap again to edit it, or remove it entirely with the button shown while editing.

🗑️ Delete

Permanently removes the channel's paywall entirely, including all of its tiers. The subscribe link stops working and no new subscribers can join. Existing subscribers keep their access until their current period ends.

Multiple pricing tiers

A channel can offer up to 5 pricing tiers at once — for example a Monthly plan alongside a cheaper Yearly plan and a Lifetime option. Tap + Add tier to add one; you'll only be asked for the billing type and price, since the settlement coin/network/wallet, trial setting, and description are shared across every tier on the channel.

Each tier has its own row with:

  • •⏸ Pause / ▶️ Resume — a paused tier disappears from the subscriber plan picker; the channel's other tiers are unaffected. If every tier is paused, subscribers see the same "temporarily paused" message as a fully paused channel.
  • •✏️ Edit — change the tier's price. This takes effect immediately for new subscribers and for anyone renewing on that tier; it does not change what current subscribers already paid for their current period.
  • •🗑️ Delete — removes the tier from the picker for good. Subscribers already on that tier keep their access until it expires; they just can't renew onto a deleted tier.

When a subscriber already has active access on the channel and buys a different tier (or renews the same one), their access extends from whichever tier they land on — it always stacks, never resets or switches away unexpectedly.

Limits

You can have up to 10 paywall channels per account, and each channel can have up to 5 pricing tiers.

Changing the price

Tap ✏️ Edit next to the tier you want to change, and send the new price. It applies immediately to new subscribers and renewals on that tier. Subscribers already in their current paid period are not charged again or affected until they renew.

Bot removal or loss of admin

If the Cloakd bot is removed from your channel or loses its admin permissions:

  • !The bot notifies you immediately.
  • !New subscriptions stop working — the bot cannot send join links.
  • !Existing subscribers keep their access, but expired subscribers are not removed automatically.

To restore full functionality:

  1. 1Re-add the Cloakd bot as an admin with Invite Users and Ban Members permissions.
  2. 2Type /paywalls to see your channels.
  3. 3Tap Resume if the channel (or a tier) was paused, or verify it shows as Active.
