Managing Your Paywall

Everything you can do after your paywall is live.

/paywall list

Type /paywall list to see all your paywalls. Each entry shows:

  • •Status icon: 🟢 Active or ⏸ Paused
  • •Channel or group name
  • •Number of active subscribers
  • •Access type and price

Below each paywall are inline action buttons.

Actions

⏸ Pause

Stops accepting new subscribers. The subscribe link shows "subscriptions are temporarily paused." Existing subscribers keep their access and are not affected.

▶️ Resume

Re-enables the paywall for new subscribers after pausing.

🔗 Copy Link

The bot sends you the subscribe link as a new message. Use this if you lose the original link.

🗑️ Delete

Permanently removes the paywall. The subscribe link stops working and no new subscribers can join. Existing subscribers keep their access until their current period ends.

Limits

You can have up to 10 active paywalls per account. Each paywall is for one channel or group and has its own price, access type, and subscribe link.

Changing the price

You cannot change the price on an existing paywall. To change the price, delete the existing paywall and create a new one. Existing subscribers keep their access at the old price until their period ends.

Bot removal or loss of admin

If the Cloakd bot is removed from your channel or loses its admin permissions:

  • !The bot notifies you immediately.
  • !New subscriptions stop working — the bot cannot send join links.
  • !Existing subscribers keep their access, but expired subscribers are not removed automatically.

To restore full functionality:

  1. 1Re-add the Cloakd bot as an admin with Invite Users and Ban Members permissions.
  2. 2Type /paywall list to see your paywalls.
  3. 3Tap Resume if the paywall was paused, or verify it shows as Active.
